Simple six pocket bag-still editing

I have found and saved this bag pattenr a long-long time ago and I finally had the chance to try it out while teaching someone basic techniques for sewing. It was a perfect bag for a beginner so I strongly recommend it to all those who are  just familiarizing themselves with the sewing machine and the end product is cute, simple and practical.
! One thing I'd like to mention is that the size is more of a child fit size, although the original website does not mention it.For personal use I'd re-size the entire pattern and make it larger.

This is the pattern and instructions. Everything is described in detail and the pics are clear.A must try!

This is one of the bags that I made.I also inserted a zipper, to make it more suitable for shopping purposes(i.e. storing money, wallet, phone etc.)

Here is the list of materials and dimensions for a shopping bag:

2 pieces main cloth(17"x21")
2 pieces lining cloth (15"x21")
2 pieces cloth extension for zipper (19"x2")
2 pieces contrast loth for pockets (21"x11")
2 pieces cloth for straps (54"x3")
1 piece zipper (19" long)

Start by hemming the edges of the zipper holding cloth.Turn in 1/2 inch twice on each end and stitch.
Finished size should be 17 ".

Place the zipper holding strip on the main cloth right sides facing and pin in place at equal distance from edges.

Place the lining material ever these 2 layers (the main fabric and lining fabric, right sides facing)

1-2=3-4=(hip measurement + ease + 2x front crotch* + 2x back crotch**)/4

(!To measure crotch depth, refer to the diagram below)
2-5=1-6= hip depth (see diagram below)
*4-7=front crotch=hip measurement/4 x 15/100
7-7'=4-7
1-9=4-7
9-10=1 inch(for children 0.5 is enough)
**6-8=back crotch=3x front crotch
1-11=back crotch + 1-2 inches
11-12=1 inch(for kids 0.5 inch)

4-15=crotch to knee distance
4-13=13-15
13-14=0.5-1 inch
15-16=desired knee circumference
17-18=desired cuff circumference (!knee and cuff should be equal or the cuff slightly narrower than knee)

                                                                  -fabric(18"x7")
-plastic sheet(from an old plastic table cloth)
